How to make concrete resist water & oil-based staining
Penetrating sealers are subsurface sealers which are absorbed into the pores of the concrete. Penetrating sealers are sometimes referred to as impregnating sealers. Once Concrete Penetrating Sealer is applied to the surface the sealing polymers sink directly into the pores of the concrete, thus sealing from within & without a visible change.
Floorseal Concrete Penetrating Sealer can be applied to concretes after 28 days of pouring/drying & is to be applied in 1-2 coats. The application of the product will harden the concrete increasing its durability & resisting water & oil-based staining.
Suitable for use on worktops, walls, floors & can be applied to external areas such as concrete pavers, coping stones or cladding.
Concrete Penetrating Sealer is safe to use in fully wet areas, the sealer will not alter the slip resistance to the treated surface & is breathable.
What are the benefits of sealing concrete with Concrete Penetrating Sealer?
Concrete Penetrating Sealer is a sub-surface sealer, the obvious benefit this is the sealer cannot be seen as it is non-film forming. The sealer will seal the surface without creating a surface lacquer or sheen. The water & oil repellence created is produced from within the pores of the concrete. The concrete will retain its natural/normal appearance after the application of the product.
This penetrating sealer is suitable for use in fully wet areas, on dense surfaces, highly porous surfaces or application to food preparation areas (as it is food safe). Concrete Penetrating Sealer increases water & oil resistance from within the pores of the concrete, rather than building up on the surface, as a sheen/film or visible layer. It is a versatile sealer, suitable for application in a multitude of different locations such as – Worktops, walls, floors, coping stones, cladding, pavers, paths, roofs, wet rooms, bathrooms, kitchens & more.
