How to clean tarmac before sealing & colour restoring
You should pressure wash your tarmac before any sealing work is carried out. Remove any loose debris and general organic growth. Lightly pressure washing your tarmac does not damage the surface and will remove a lot of the obvious issues.
Light moss infestations can be removed via pressure washing, algae is usually removed by following this method as well.
We recommend at least using a hosepipe to remove any loose debris and sweep the surface clean once dry.
Pre-clean your tarmac with Green Remover Concentrate
We then recommend pre-cleaning your tarmac with Floorseal Green Remover Concentrate. Once the surface is pressure washed or generally cleaned apply this product to the surface. The surface should be dry before application with no rain likely in the next 12 hours.
We recommend applying this product at least a week or two before sealing & colour restoring. Once the moss browns, pressure wash away (or scrape) and then apply Green Remover Concentrate again a few days before any colour restoring is carried out.
What does Floorseal Tarmac Restorer for Driveways do?
Tarmac Restorer for Driveways rejuvenates the colour of faded black tarmacs. Replenishing fading tarmac to the colour of a new tarmac.
This tarmac sealer penetrates the surface of the tarmac, recolouring its surface from within. This process invigorates the appearance of older tarmacs or a tarmac which has become discoloured with mud, dust or organic contaminations.
Tarmac Restorer for Driveways is perfect for old or new tarmacs which require colour restoring. This tarmac restorer will produce a near matt finish on older or newly laid tarmacs.
Tarmac Restorer for Driveways is not a thick paint prone to peeling and cracking. It is a penetrating sealer which recolours from within. Perfect for tarmac which always suffers from becoming hot in summer and very cold and wet in the winter.
Does tarmac need to be dry before colour restoring?
Yes, the tarmac should be clean and dry, free from loose grit and organic growth. Do not clean and try to seal tarmac on the same day it will need to fully dry after cleaning.
