It is highly suited to seal natural stone patios as it will enhance veining and colour. It can be used on Indian sandstone, York sandstones or any surface which looks more attractive when surface colours become deeper. It will enhance variation in veining and general shading.
On sandstone, a colour enriched matt finish, a little like dampening the stone but without the associated shine.
Yes, the stone has to be perfectly dry and remain so during the curing time.
It is because this product is a form of impregnator. This sealer becomes meshed into the surface of the stone. Any excess product is not required after the stone is saturated, therefore it should be removed.
Using a sprayer, masonry style roller or paint pad in conjunction with microfibre cloths to remove the excess. 2 consecutive applications should be made ‘wet on wet’ approximately one hour apart.
Always remove any excess product after 10 – 30 minutes after each application. This can be carried out using a dry roller or microfibre cloths.
In 2 hours (or less) the stone will be touch dry, the full cure time is 24 hours.
Sealers can look different once dry & cured. Its worth testing any sealer in an inconspicuous area to check you will obtain the finish you require.
No, we do not recommend sealing wet rooms or bathrooms with this product.

Yes, it is suitable for most internal floors such as living areas, hallways, walls or kitchens.
Yes we would recommend pre-cleaning. Always make sure the surface to be treated is dry before application and stays dry during curing.
We recommend pre-cleaning with Floorseal Sealer Residue Remover particularly when you have used a brush in compound.
For removal of black spot lichens or general organic staining on external surfaces use Floorseal Black Spot Remover Plus.
Use Floorseal Cement & Grout Haze Remover to remove cement staining or cement based cement based grout hazes.
Approximately 8m2 per litre for the first application and 16m2 per litre for the 2nd application. Carry out both applications on the same day approximately an hour apart.
Yes, it is a fully breathable impregnating sealer, it can be applied soon after a floor is laid. It does not trap moisture.
No, it is an impregnator so dries to a totally natural matt, colour enhanced finish.
We recommend sealing Kandla Grey with Floorseal Natural Stone Sealer Breathe – this product also seals against water & oil-based staining without a colour enhancing element.
Use Floorseal Stone Floor Cleaner to remove general grime and dirt. Always rinse heavily after use and allow the floor to fully dry.
Floorseal Cement & Grout Haze Remover will remove cement staining and cement based grout haze.
We do not recommend cleaning and sealing on the same day. Wait at least 24 hours after cleaning before sealing natural stone. You may need to wait longer than 24 hours before sealing. Never try to seal a damp floor.
We do not recommend using this product as a pre-sealer.
Slightly colour enhancing sandstones simply enhances the colour which is already present within the stone. The sandstone will still look totally natural but with slightly increased colour. If you over colour enhance sandstones they can become dark or patchy.
