Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer is an invisible breathable tile & grout sealer spray that creates a water-repellent surface.

This powerful impregnating grout sealer is suitable for quickly and efficiently sealing grout lines and tiles. Suitable for older or newly fixed grout lines on interior or exterior tiles.

Your sealed grout lines and tiles will retain their original pre-sealed appearance but now shed water and resist staining. Tile & Grout Sealer Rapid can be applied to any grout line including bathrooms and wet rooms. Providing additional protection to porous and semi-porous grout and tiles in high-use areas.

Perfect for resisting water penetration, grease staining, oils staining & limescale to grout lines on walls and floors. This product has a non-yellowing formula which is very easy to use for DIY and professional use.

Directions of Use

  • Please read the Technical Data Sheet for full instructions.
  • Wear appropriate PPE, gloves face mask. 
  • Carry out a test in an inconspicuous area.
  • If you find this product is not suitable for use on your project do not continue to use.
  • All surfaces must be completely dry.
  • Pre-clean with Floorseal Intensive Tile Cleaner where required.
  • Ventilate the room you are working in during use.
  • Spray once evenly over the grout line.
  • The sealer will quickly dissipate into the grout line.
  • Buff over the grout line and associated tiles with a soft cloth after application.
  • The sealer will dry in 5 – 15 minutes or less, curing in 5 hours.
  • For fully wet areas such as shower enclosures keep the treated surface dry for 24 hours.
  • Test by adding droplets of water, if beading is noted the surface is sealed.
  • If the surface still seems porous retreat the area with 2nd or 3rd coats.

100% Breathable Aerosol Sealer

Premium Tile & Grout Sealer is an invisible aerosol grout sealer spray. This effective penetrating sealer can be used on internal and external tiles and grout lines. The product leaves a natural invisible matt finish, so does not alter the appearance of your grout lines or tiles. Premium Tile & Grout Sealer is a high-performance grout sealer, providing protection from water-based staining, oils, grease and limescale.

The application of Premium Tile & Grout Sealer makes general maintenance easier. Inhibiting water and oil-based staining, this includes mould growth and limescales.

Simple rapid application with great coverage

Premium Tile & Grout Sealer is very easy to apply, it is an aerosol spray available in a 500ml can suitable for DIY or professional use.

Apply to the grout and allow the product to penetrate the grout, buff over the treated area with a microfibre or soft cloth if any residue is visible. The sealer usually dries within a few minutes and cures in around 5 hours. If the sealer has been applied in fully wet areas such as shower enclosures keep the surface dry for approximately 24 hours.

To test for an effective seal sprinkle droplets of water onto the treated surface, if water beading is noted the surface is sealed. If water still penetrates add a 2nd or 3rd application.

This sealer is not a surface coating so it will not blister, peel, crack or trap moisture. The predicted lifespan of this grout sealer is 4 – 5 years. But the product can be reapplied after deep cleaning your grout and tiles as and when required.

Ultimately all coverage rates will be dictated by the porosity of the grout or tile and number of coats applied.

This product can dry in as little as 5 minutes. The sealer cures in 5 hours – for wet rooms & shower enclosures keep the treated surface dry for 24 hours prior to use.
Can I apply Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer to interior or exterior porcelain tiles?

The face of porcelain tiles do not usually require sealing, but this product is perfect for sealing the grout lines between the tiles.
Does Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer reduce the slip resistance to my tiles and grout?

No, Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer does not affect the slip resistance to your tiles or grout. The surface will have just as much grip after sealing.
How many coats of Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer should I apply?

Usually one application is sufficient – you can add further coats if required. We recommend waiting 15-30 minutes between coats.
Can I apply Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer in a wet area like a bathroom or splash backs?

Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer is perfect for sealing shower enclosures, wet room walls/floors & splashbacks in kitchens.
Can I seal the face of the tile and the grout line with Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer?

Yes, you can seal the face of porous tiles such as natural stone or clay-based tiles. Non-porous surfaces like ceramic or porcelain tiles do not require sealing – just the grout line.
What happens if I get some of the product on the tile either side of the joint?

Normally, it will sink in and disappear but you can lightly buff over the joint and face of the tile to remove any residue.
Are there any surfaces I should not allow this product to get on to?

You should always test products before use – But in general, you should not allow the product to overspray onto painted, varnished surfaces, or acrylic coatings.
Can Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer trap moisture?

No, Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer is 100% breathable so cannot trap moisture.
What is the coverage of this product?

The coverage is variable 5m2 – 25m2 of total surface area – up to 500m of linear grout lines. Ultimately coverage is dictated by the porosity of the tile, the porosity of the grout, the width of the grout line and the number of applications.

 

 
Will Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer fills obvious cracks and holes?

Floorseal Premium Tile & Grout Sealer is non-film forming so is not suitable for filling obvious cracks and holes. Its purpose is to sit in the micro-pores of the tile and/or grout and create a water repellant surface.
How do you know when the grout line is sealed?

Add a little water to the grout line or tile – If the water beads the surface is sealed. Add further coats to acheive the desired effect if the surface is highly porous.
What type of tile and grout is this sealer compatible with?

Any porous grout and tile. Such as cement-based grout, cement/resin/epoxy-based porous grouts. Natural stone, terracotta, quarry tile, ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, mosaics, encaustic tiles, quarry tile, brick, slates, granites, sandstone, travertine, limestone, man-made tiles, concretes and more.
Do I need to pre-clean my grout lines before applying this product?

The grout and/or tiles need to be dry and clean – you may wish to clean the grout lines with Floorseal Intensive Tile Cleaner before sealing if they are older tiles.
