Render Cleaner Softwash Solution

Any kind of render which is suffering from organic contaminations, Such as lichen, green algae and red algae. Always carry out a test patch to assess overall suitability, the dilution rate and dwell time.

Suitable for K-Rend, Parex, Monocouche & Weber renders. Also sand & cement renders including lime render.

For general cleaning 15 minutes but you can use a longer dwell time if required, possibly up to one hour.

Approximately 80m2 – 100m2 per 5 litre container- when diluted at 1:3 (One part concentrate to 3 parts water). Please test and adapt.

This provides 4 litres of ready to use solution (RTU) from each litre of concentrate. Providing a total of 20 litres of RTU solution.

Coverage rates are dependent on surface porosity, texture, dilution rate, & level of soiling. Please conduct a test patch to assess your dwell time and coverage rate. Porous stone & concrete will require more product than fine renders.

Yes, you can add Floorseal Cleaner Additive to Floorseal Render Cleaner Softwash Solution. Once you have diluted your concentrate, please add between 50ml to 100ml of Cleaner Additive to 4 litres of the ready to use solution (RTU).

This will slightly thicken the product, enabling it to cling to vertical surfaces more easily. It can also create a slight foaming action, so you can see which areas you have already treated. Cleaner Additive will also help to prevent premature drying.

Add Floorseal Cleaner Additive to Floorseal Render Cleaner Softwash Solution.

You do not have to add additional products to Floorseal Render Cleaner Softwash Solution, but it can be advantageous to add a thickening agent like Floorseal Cleaner Additive.

Dwell time is very important – Extend the dwell if the contamination is really severe, keep the surface wet with product.

15 minutes of dwell time can be enough on many surfaces. The longer the surface is wet for the better the product will work. You should adapt the dwell time to suit the conditions found on site.

Using a softwash solution can be less invasive than pressure washing (or steam cleaning). Using pressure washing in conjunction with a our softwashing solution can be advantageous. Pressure wash first and then clean the difficult to remove organic marks with our Render Cleaner Softwash Solution.

However softwashing can be a quicker process without the need to pressure washing first. It will also remove organic contaminations that pressure washing will not remove i.e black spot lichens.

Typically UPVC, bare wood and aluminium window frames should be protected. If the product does come into contact with these surfaces, rinse the product away promptly.

If any overspray settles on glass windows you will need to clean the windows after the treatment is complete.

Floorseal Render Cleaner & Softwash Solution will remove red & green algae and also ingrained black lichens when used with an adequate dwell time.

An over spray of Floorseal Green Remover Concentrate is also worthwhile once the softwash solution has been rinsed away. GRC will linger on the surface to inhibit the return of organic growth.

Using Floorseal Render Cleaner Softwash Solution removes the contaminations quickly! Spray & leave solutions like Floorseal Green Remover Concentrate are probably easier to use but act more slowly. Green Remover Concentrate is very effective as a follow up treatment to keep the surface clean.

Various – fast acting products will often contain a form of chlorine as well as other solutions. Slower acting products are usually biocides. The key to success is knowing when and where to use a particular cleaning agent.

You can also add agents like Floorseal Cleaner Additive to Floorseal Render Cleaner & Softwash Solution. This will thicken the product helping it to cling to vertical surfaces. It will also create a slight foam and help to prevent premature drying.

Please use Floorseal Render & Masonry Sealer to seal renders and other porous surfaces. This sealer will impregnate the surface, waterproofing it. Render & Masonry Sealer will help the surface resist carbon deposits, organic growth thus creating a self-cleaning surface.

Render & Masonry Sealer is highly resistant to UV light so perfect for sealing exterior renders, masonry, natural stone and concrete cladding.

No, it is for the removal of contaminations only. To help renders resist organic growth you should overspray the surface with Floorseal Green Remover Concentrate (after using Render Cleaner Softwash Solution).

After cleaning, once the surface is totally dry then treat with Floorseal Render & Masonry Sealer to fully protect the surface. You can continue to use GRC as an annual treatment whether you seal the surface or not.

Yes, Render Cleaner Softwash Solution can be used on roof tiles -such as clay, slate, natural stone or concrete.

Typically diluted 1:3 with clean water for general cleaning. Dilute at (at least) 1:1 for the removal of red algae and black spot lichens. You can also use this product in an undiluted form on problematic areas. Please test and adapt.
